Favorite halloween products
When I first decided to dabble with Halloween makeup three years ago; I started with the intention of creating looks that people could try at home. I managed to come up with all sorts of cool looks using "normal" beauty products (black eyeliner, red lipstick, misc. eyeshadows.) It wasn't long before I pitched my husband 101 reasons why I suddenly needed to spend money on more makeup. I've put together a list of my favorite and most frequently used products for Halloween.

1. Black Eyeliner
This liquid eyeliner steals the spotlight all year long, but especially on Halloween! In fact, I don't think I've created
a look without this jet black gem. It's precise felt tip allows me to create the smallest of details for a variety of looks ranging from skulls, vampy winged eyeliner, to cute feline whiskers.

2. White Face Paint
Do not, I repeat, do NOT use the *cheap* white paint from your local Halloween store. Avoid the cracking, peeling and frustration by purchasing MAC's chromcake face and body paint. This product dries smooth, feels light and wears comfortably. Available in 11 colors.
MAC Chromacake; $28

3. Smokey Shadows
Shading is particularly important for creating theatrical looks, which is why I depend on Kat Von D's Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. This palette hosts a variety of matte eye shadows in neutral, cool, and warm shades.
KVD Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette; $48
4. Glitter

I'm obsessed with the liquid glitter eye shadows from Stila Cosmetics. In my opinion, these are the BEST glitters on the market. My first Impression? "This is wayyy too good to be true." Glitter without the mess??? YES. It glides on smoothly and sparkles like a galaxy of a trillion shooting stars. I almost always add a little glitter to my Halloween looks even if they are spooky; it's simply irresistible.
PRO Favorites: 'Kitten Karma' & 'Smoldering Satin'
Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow; $24
5. Lashes

With such exaggerated makeup, a Halloween look isn't complete without lashes. These wispie lashes are the perfect fit for any costume.
Ardell 'Demi Wispies' (3 Pack); $9
6. Pressed Glitter Shadow
M
JUST IN!!! Dear Katie Brown's pressed glitter eyeshadows. Unlike other glitter shadows, these are ultra pigmented, and pack so much glitter into each brushstroke. I can't wait to create a unicorn, butterfly, and other colorful looks with this 'Basic Gangster' Palette. MUST TRY: New 'COVEN' Collection for those of you with a darker side. Stoked to use these contrasting set of colors.
Pressed Glitter Collections; $25+
